Personal thoughts from Gergely Lágler

Gergely Lágler our technical manager has written an article about the development process in the FS East history, explained what was the driving force to the success and shared some interesting personal thoughts about the current registration period as well. He is one of the key figures in the organisational team and he talks about such things like:

  • The process how the starter list is already filled up
  • How we started this whole thing in 2016
  • The acknowledgement of FS East within the European movement
  • He introduces the biggest supporters of FS East
  • How we are going to deal with the expectations towards us
  • The new (and final?) location of FS East
  • And last but not least why this is going to be our biggest event

General Rules, Documentation Rules and Technical Inspection Rules are now available on our Rules & Important Documents page as the final additions of FS East 2018 Rules.  You’re also able to download the necessary templates to create your documents. The Data Logger Specification document has also been updated with some additional details. (;

Event Registration Period #1 Results

Before we get to the real thing, we’d like to thank the enthusiasm of all teams who registered today to FS East 2018!  210 teams filled out the registration quiz, it means that together with the pre-registered participants 217 teams from 35 countries went through event registration. This number is almost the double of last year’s. (:

Event registration for FS East 2018

Event Registration is right around a corner, so we collected all information you need to know to be prepared for the challenge. 

In 2018 FS East opens slots for 30 combustion 20 electric and 10 driverless teams, while the organisers will handle the documents of maximum 8 combustion 4 electric and 2 driverless waiting list teams. After the pre-registration of the invited teams, we have 28 combustion, 15 electric and 10 driverless slots available.

We’ve posted another quick read for the weekend, the Dynamic Rules for FS East 2018 are now available on our Rules & Important Documents page. The document includes event-specific additions to Rules 2018 which concern driverless teams as well.
