Registration Results & Preliminary Starter List

This year 310 teams registered, 288 of them have successfully completed the event registration process including the 9 top teams of last season we invited previously. Participants from 39 countries tried to get into FS East, literally from all over the world, like Canada to Australia. 133 of them aimed the combustion, 117 the electric and 38 the driverless category. These are HUGE numbers and we’re very grateful for your enthusiasm and support for our event!

The highest number of teams registered from Germany (98), India (21), Italy (19), Spain (17) and Poland (13). Seven teams of our home country are currently on our lists, 5 of them with a starter position (Arrabona Racing Team, BME Formula Racing Team, BME Motorsport, Formula Racing Miskolc & KEFO Motorsport).

Event Registration Period #1 Results

Before we get to the real thing, we’d like to thank the enthusiasm of all teams who registered today to FS East 2018!  210 teams filled out the registration quiz, it means that together with the pre-registered participants 217 teams from 35 countries went through event registration. This number is almost the double of last year’s. (:

World Ranking List Update & FS East 2018

The World Ranking List update is published and we’re extremely proud to tell you that the competitiveness of Formula Student East 2017 has been ranked 0.99 which is currently the highest rate in the 2017 season, although the FSG results are yet to come. (;

From the beginnings the main goal of FS East and the organisers is to create a highly professional event for the teams and we keep going with this mindset. FS East was featured on the WRL right after the trial season in 2016 with a 0.89 competitiveness, therefore 0.99 is definitely a huge improvement. We’d like to thank all participating teams for being part of the event and we look forward to see you in 2018 as well!

Until then, we can share with you some highlights of our plans for the next season. From 2018, FS East is not going to be a mixed event anymore: combustion and electric cars will compete in separate categories. Autonomous technology is coming to FS East as well as we’d like to give the opportunity for driverless teams to be able to get challenged at an other competition besides Formula Student Germany.

Energy Meter specification
