Formula Racing Miskolc is a volunteer student initiative by which the members of the team can gather extensive understanding and experience in the automotive industry and the various fields of motorsport. They can learn the true meaning of team-work and use their theoretical knowledge in practice. The team members are students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering who participate in the basic and master degree program of the region's most significant institution of higher education.

The new race car design is running under the name FRMc-2B, will be implemented by the highest constructional and technical definition so far. During the racing season of 2018, we want to achieve an illustrious place on all of the events our team participates in, we have put even more focus on the sustainability, durability and weight reduction of our design. Our mechanical engineering team makes a great effort and invests time into the development of the drive train. The Honda CBR600RR engine is completely under a new development phase, which aim is a higher compression ratio and a customized transmission. The OEM oil system will be replaced by a dry sump system that will guarantee a continuous engine lubrication in all race conditions. On the other hand, a major development will be introduced in the electronics module as well, in addition to the engine control unit, which has been implemented earlier, a complex telemetric system will be integrated as well. The telemetry system is able to collect data from every segment which provides a detailed feedback about the car and the reactions of the pilot in all race conditions. Last but not least further improvements will take place giving the race car’s dynamics a great priority, combining it with active aerodynamics device. As part of the design the DRS (Drag Reduce System) well known from Formula 1, helps to adjust the bodywork by reducing drag, in order to increase acceleration and top speed.

The event is organized by the Engineers for the Automotive Higher Education Associasion
