2023. augusztus 1. és 6. között hetedik alkalommal, a Formula-1 Magyar Nagydíjnak is otthont adó Hungaroringen rendezzük meg a Formula Student East nemzetközi hallgatói konstrukciós versenyt. 19 ország 84 csapata vesz részt saját fejlesztésű, belsőégésű, elektromos és önvezető járműveikel a rendezvényen.

A FORMULA STUDENT MOZGALOM
A versenysorozatot 1981-ben a tengerentúlon hozták létre a mérnöki és gazdasági tanulmányokat folytató diákok számára, hogy egy olyan formula versenyautót konstruáljanak, amelyet nem csupán megépítenek, de a piaci bevezetésére vonatkozó koncepcióját is elkészítik. Egy ilyen életszerű projekt egész éves munkát, kitartást, innovatív hozzáállást, elméleti és gyakorlatorientált felkészülést követel a csapatok tagjaitól. A Formula Student tehát kipróbált, agilis szakembereket nevel, ebből pedig a mozgalmat támogató iparvállalatok is profitálnak.
THE FORMULA STUDENT MOVEMENT
The competition series was created overseas in 1981 for students studying engineering and economics to design a formula race car that they would not only build, but also conceptualise for market launch. Such a real-life project requires a year-long effort, perseverance, innovative attitude, theoretical and practical preparation of the team members. Formula Student thus produces proven, agile professionals, and the industrial companies that support the movement significantly benefit from this by gaining access to directly available professionals ready for value creation straight from university.
From 1st to 6th of August, 2023, the seventh instalment of the Formula Student East international engineering design competition will take place at the Hungaroring, the official home of the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. 84 teams from 19 countries are taking to the track with their own internal combustion, electric and self-driving vehicles to fight for the ultimate crown in each discipline.
All five days of Formula Student East are open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Center at the entrance.*

FORMULA STUDENT EAST
A Formula Student East-et 2016-ban olyan volt mérnökhallgatók hívták életre, akik korábban versenyzőként és szervezőként is kipróbálták magukat a Formula Student világában, így évtizedes tapasztalattal és nemzetközi kapcsolatokkal bírnak a szervezés és a lebonyolítás terén.
Az FS East és a szervezők célja a kezdetektől fogva egy olyan szakmai verseny megvalósítása, amely az oktatási szempontokat tartja szem előtt és elősegíti a csapatok további fejlődését. Ennek az elkötelezettségnek az eredménye, hogy 2016-ban - az FS történetében elsőként - a Formula Student East eredményei rögtön az első szezont követően felkerültek a mozgalom világranglistájára, 2017-ben pedig az FS East szerepelt rajta a legmagasabb versenyképességi értékkel. Mindez a magas szakmai és műszaki színvonal mellett az elsőszámú európai csapatok részvételének is köszönhető, akik évről évre visszatérő versenyzői az FS Eastnek. A mozgalom világszervezetével közösen meghatározott növekedési ütemet követve a meghirdetett helyek száma folyamatosan bővül, a kezdeti 44-es csapatlétszámhoz képest 2019-ben már 72-en kaptak lehetőséget az FS Easten való részvételre. Egyedi módon a nemzetközi versenyek közül, a 2020-as évben kitört pandémia sem állított a meg a verseny lendületét: a Széchenyi István Egyetem által összefogva a Formula Student Netherlands versennyel együtt egy virtuális verseny váltott a ki a pályán történő megmérett etéseket Formula Student Online néven. A résztvevő 45 csapat a szervezőkkel együtt életben tartotta a mozgalmat. 2021-ben pedig már 84-en állhattak ismét a rajtvonalhoz. Ez az év nem csak a versenyek visszatértét jelentette, hanem 2 új esemény indulását is. Egyik ilyen a Formula Student Easter rendezvény, amely felkészülési lehetőséget biztosít a csapatok számára a nyári nagy versenyszezon előtt. Másik pedig a volt csapattagoknak létrehozott Alumni Cup, ahol még egyszer átélhetik a versenyzés szellemét. 2022-ben is mind a három rendezvény megrendezésre került és a nagy versenyen a FS East-en 19 ország 73 csapata, valamint 14 alumni csapat vett részt. Az Alumni Cup töretlen sikerét mutatja, hogy 2023-ban már 22 csapat vesz részt a 82 "normál" csapat mellett.
FORMULA STUDENT EAST
Formula Student East was launched in 2016 by former engineering students who have previously tried their hand at Formula Student as both drivers and organisers, bringing decades of experience and international contacts in the field of organisation and delivery.
FS East and the organisers have aimed from the outset to deliver a professional competition with an educational focus and to promote the further development of the teams. As a result of this commitment, in 2016, for the first time in the history of the FS, the results of Formula Student East were included in the movement's world ranking immediately after the first season, and in 2017 FS East was the highest ranked in terms of competitiveness. All this, in addition to the high professional and technical standards, is also due to the participation of top European teams who return to FS East year after year. Following the growth rate agreed with the movement's world organisation, the number of places advertised is constantly increasing, with 72 teams having the opportunity to participate in FS East in 2019, up from an initial 44. Uniquely among the international competitions, the pandemic that broke out in 2020 did not stop the momentum of the competition: a virtual competition, in partnership with Széchenyi István University, together with Formula Student Netherlands, has been replaced by a virtual competition called Formula Student Online. The 45 participating teams, together with the organisers, kept the movement alive, and in 2021, 84 teams were back on the starting grid. This year saw not only the return of the races, but also the launch of 2 new events. One of these is the Formula Student Easter event, which gives teams a chance to prepare before the major summer racing season. The other is the Alumni Cup for former team members to experience the spirit of racing once again. 2022 continued with all three events and the big race at FS East attracted 73 teams from 19 countries and 14 alumni teams. As a testament to the continued success of the Alumni Cup, in 2023 22 teams will take part alongside 82 'normal' teams.
