FS East has two data logger options for the 2018 event: the new FSG data logger (The specification can be found here.) or the more likely option is the new data logger developed by FS East. You can find the details in the fresh Rules and Important documents section of the 2018’s event. You can also find the details in the FS East Data Logger Information pack about the new data logger.
We’ve published the event handbook with a lot of organisational details about FS East, including

The rules of the Static and Dynamic Events along with the Technical Inspection regulations are published as part of the FS East 2017 Official Rules. The complete rulebook is available on our Rules and Important Documents page as well as the necessary templates for the next document upload deadlines.
Some more details were specified related to the Electrical System Officer delegation in the Documents & Penalties part of the Rules (3.7). Besides the ESO form you have to submit a certificate (preferably a BSc degree) for all appointed ESO which proves that they’re qualified for the position.
A new section was also added to the Registration Rules, explaining the regulations and penalties in case of an event registration after document upload deadlines.

The FS East General Rules and Documentation Rules containing the submission deadlines are available for download under the Rules and Important Documents section of Event 2017. The documents are based on Rules 2017 released by FSG however we also added some FS East specific regulations, therefore please make sure to read it thoroughly.

We would like you to give some updates and a heads-up regarding the Cost Report documents.
To upload the necessary documents before the deadline, please create a .zip compressed file with the Electronic copy in .xls/.xlsx format and the Supporting material in .pdf format. Please note, that there is no Cost Summary template that you have to fill out! Just make sure, that your electronic copy includes your summary on the first spreadsheet.
As for the Cost Summary after the addendum, we kindly ask you to upload an excel document with the new final prices and include all the sheets that have changed. To upload this file you have until the 25th of July, 23:59 CEST, but you will have to hand in the document (Appendix S-5 FSAE Cost Event Addendum) at the event as well.

In case you have questions regarding the document upload, we gathered some useful tips below about the documents:
HEALTH INSURANCE CERTIFICATE
For the health insurance certificate we are waiting scanned documents. We prefer the EU health insurance cards, but if anyone has his/her own insurance for abroad journeys then it will be totally fine.
We are only requesting these documents if any of you get injured during the event then a scanned copy will be with us, so if you may forgot your papers home, then you can still them with you 🙂
TEAM MEMBER DESIGNATION
For team member designation we are waiting a regular excell file with the position of the members and some regular contact informations – and for any other members who bring with yourself for the team.
You need to add the following fields: team member’s name, position in the team, email address, cell phone number, in case of emergency phone number and birthday.
If you can not upload the final version of your team member designation until the deadline then please include your present members, and if any changes occur, please let us know. For new members your team member designation and health insurance certificate documents has to be updated before the event.
You can find a pre-made excel spreadsheet below, which you can fill for team member designation. If you made your document with the fields mentioned above, then it is also fine.

UPDATE: We noticed that the BLC task is still active in the document upload page, so you may have got some extra – false – penalty points for not uploading the Business Logic Case documents.
